If you follow Kia news , then it's likely you have heard about the Kia Forte. Marketed under 3 separate names and available in 3 body styles, the auto can be a bit confusing. To that end, Tom Dolan's Reno Kia would like to take some time to clear up any confusion about the model and lay out the facts for the vehicle's immediate future.

This model was presented to us and it is set to be released in the U.S. and Canada in early 2013. The 2014 Kia Forte comes in 3 variants: sedan, koup, and 5-door hatchback. Even more impressive, the model is sold under multiple names; in Korea as the Kia K3 and in Australia and Brazil as the Kia Cerato.

More and more details surrounding the upgrades have been floating around the automotive industry just recently and the automaker spilled even more. But no matter what name or style happens to catch your eye, you can be sure of one thing. Kia has completely revamped the lineup. Here's a recap of what we can expect so far:

  • A host of new technologies across all variants including: park assistance, LED headlights, telematics service UVO
  • Slightly wider, longer, and lower specs for the Forte/K3/Cerato sedan over its predecessor
  • A 1.6-liter four-cylinder petrol engine for the Kia K3 (powertrains have yet to be announced for the Forte and Cerato)
  • Sportier, more alluring design across the board but keeps the automaker's signature grille and headlights for branding

As the Kia Forte/K3/Cerato inches closer to release, you can count on your local Reno  Kia experts at 9455 South Virginia St for all the latest details. In the meantime, feel free to swing by and check out any of our other stellar new Kia models right now.
