success of Kia over the last year.
In 2012, Kia saw a 14.9-percent increase over the previous year's sales. This means an all-time record of 557,599 new Kia were vehicles sold. But this isn't the only accomplishment that Kia is celebrating.
Byung Mo Ahn, Group President and CEO of KMA and KMMG, further explains, "2012 was an historic year filled with a number of important achievements for the Kia brand including our 18th straight annual market share increase, surpassing the 500,000 unit mark for the first time, and the sale of the four millionth Kia vehicle in the U.S."1
Curious about which models helped to boost annual sales? Believe it or not, two of the best-sellers for Kia were actually built right here in the U.S. The first is the Optima, the popular midsize sedan which sold 152,399 units. The second best seller is the Sorento crossover which sold 119,597 units.
