In order to redesign and embellish the Kia Sedona minivan, Kia decided it was best to give the model a one year break from production. Now that the time is getting closer for its reintroduction to the lineup, we decided we should uncover some of the details for the greater Reno, NV area regarding what the new 2014 model will feature. It looks as though a mini hiatus is allowing the model to come back more stylish and innovative than ever before.

We can expect to see the new Sedona outfitted with a redesigned grille and other various premium accents. It will also feature a new level of crash-safety protection that meets global standards, and be designed to have lower emissions.

In terms of options, two different trim levels will be available: the Base Sedona LX and the leather-lined Sedona EX. Standard features include Bluetooth, SiriusXM radio, steering wheel-mounted audio controls and a backup warning sensor. For a little extra luxury, the Sedona EX offers a comfier interior, fog lights, power seats and a backup camera. These are of course just a few of the highlights that are available.

Under the hood the Sedona sports a 3.5-liter V-6 that generates 269-horsepower. Its front wheels are powered by a six-speed automatic transmission. According to Kia, it can achieve 17 miles per gallon in the city and 24 miles per gallon on the highway.
