Motorized vehicles have many components that maintain regular operation. Without any of them, outside of unnecessary functions like air conditioning, your vehicles wouldn’t function. Let’s look deeper into some of these all-important fluids.

  • Power steering fluid is located in a clear or opaque container under the hood, on the driver’s side. Make sure it always remains full. Top it up each month.
  • Check oil on a weekly basis, by testing it using the dipstick under the engine carriage. Change it every few thousand miles traveled.
  • Transmission fluid can be checked by testing the smaller dipstick under the hood. Change it each, approximately, 75,000 miles, give or take 25,000.
  • Engine oil should be replaced, give or take, every 4,000 miles. You can check it using the engine's dipstick.
