Among statistics involving traffic accidents, you will find understeer and oversteer in the cause section. These two unfortunate dynamics of auto driving care not for what the driver wants. They are not the result of driver error. Indeed, once drivers find themselves in an understeer or oversteer situation, they become passengers on a runaway vehicle.

The term understeer describes a phenomenon that develops when the vehicle steers at less than an angle than the driver commands through the steering wheel. Oversteer is just the opposite.

For the informed vehicle owner, every car part merits interest. Even seemingly innocuous parts, like the auto-dimming rearview mirror. This mirror is designed to fight the glare produced by taillights reflected in the mirror at night. The glare has a potentially dangerous impact on driver vision, slowing down reaction time by approximately 1.4 seconds. When traveling at highway speeds, this delayed reaction time can lead to accidents.

When you have an SUV that you need to fill with a ton of cargo, you have to figure out the best way of loading up that vehicle. You have to figure out how you can safely haul everything from one destination to another.

When you are loading up an SUV, you want to put the heaviest items that you are taking with you close to the floor. You should load the heavy items before you load everything else, placing them as low as possible in the vehicle.
